Eastern Limestone County is filling in fast with new neighborhoods between Athens and Madison. John Killen helps buyers know exactly what they're getting.
East Limestone isn't a town of its own. It's the name locals give the eastern side of Limestone County, the stretch of farmland and growing neighborhoods east of Athens that runs toward Madison and Huntsville. East Limestone High School, the largest high school in the Limestone County system, is the area's best-known landmark, and its ongoing expansion tells the story: Limestone County has ranked as Alabama's fastest-growing county year after year. Parts of the area, including the old Capshaw community, now fall inside Huntsville city limits. John Killen serves all of it from his base in Florence.
With so many houses going up, new construction inspections are a big part of John's work here. A brand-new home can still have missing insulation, roof flashing problems or loose electrical connections, and an independent inspection catches them before closing. John is a State of Alabama Certified Real Estate Inspector who performs every inspection personally and delivers same-day reports with clear photos.
Not every East Limestone home is new. Older farmhouses and homes on larger lots still dot the area, and they deserve a careful look at the crawl space, plumbing and foundation. The Alabama Department of Public Health also counts Limestone County among the state's highest-potential radon counties, which makes a 48-hour radon test a smart add-on. Call or text John at 256-335-0028 to get your East Limestone inspection on the calendar.
